On September 15, 2009 I contracted with Haulbikes to transport a motorcycle from New Hampshire to California. I was given a pickup date of 9-21 to 9-23 with a delivery date of 10-13. The company call the owner of the bike on 9-15 and told him they would be picking up the bike on the 21th or the 22nd. The owner called the morning of the 21th to ask what time they would arrive. He was told "sorry the driver can't make it, we will call you back with the new date soon". The company did not bother to inform me of this; I heard it from the owner of the bike. Haulbikes set me an email on 9-23 stating they had called the owner and the pickup date was now 10-1 to 10-3. With an expected delivery to me of November 1st. I called Haulbikes and told them that was unacceptable and that I would not be using them. I was told "OK but there is a $100 cancellation fee". I said what for you gave a pickup time that you did not meet. The long and the short of this is Buyer beware, Haulbikes contract is written in such a way as they charge your credit card before they pick up the bike and never have to guarantee a pickup or delivery date. They will string you along all the while earning interest on your money and have the balls to charge you $100 when you cancel. I went with Harley Transport instead. Called at 1:30pm PST 4:30pm their time on 9-23, bike was picked up the next day 9-24 with a guaranteed delivery date of 10-13.
